Gobles Tigers Marching Band

The Gobles Tiger Marching Band recently finished their 2021 competitive season with their show titled Emerald Isle. Music selections included: “The Galway Piper” arranged by Richard Saucedo, “Danny Boy” arranged by Shane Porter, “Celtic Thunder” by Nate Taylor and “Cloudsong Riverdance” arranged by Tom Wallace.  Soloists this year were Mina Buchkowski, Kaylee Germain, Thomas Wright, and Ellianna VanHorn.

The Gobles Tiger Marching Band competed at four invitationals and one festival this season.

They earned 2nd place and won awards for Best Marching and Best Color Guard at the Otsego Marching Invitational. Later, they competed at the Hastings Marching Invitational and earned 1st place with an award for Best Marching. They came in second place (by only .3) at the Lakeshore Marching Invitational with awards for Best Music and Best Marching.  Then, the marching band performed at MSBOA District 6 Marching Festival (where a rating is awarded rather than competition against other bands).  They earned a division 1 rating with straight As from each judge!  Finally, they ended the season with a win, coming in first place at the East Kentwood Marching Invitational with awards for Best Music, Best Marching, and Best Color Guard in class D!

Thank you to our families, friends, Gobles maintenance and grounds, coaches, and administrators for your support throughout the season!  We would not be as successful without your help.  Thank you to our community and local businesses for your contributions towards our new trailer!
