The fourth grade had a fabulous field trip to Saugatuck, Michigan. Students learned about the history of the sand dunes while taking a ride on sand dune trails. They learned about how the state is using tress and grass to save the dunes from erosion. They learned how Michigan helped rebuild Chicago after the Chicago fire with our lumber, one of Michigan’s most valuable natural resource.
Students climbed Mount Baldy and explored the trails and beautiful dune at Lake Michigan.
